40-Mile Loop map

The 40-Mile Loop is an approximately 140-mile (naturally) system of trails surrounding Portland and vicinity.

The system connects about 30 city parks and other parkland. Although incomplete, all of the completed portions are suitable for walking and hiking. Most of it is suitable for bicycling, and some parts (especially the Springwater Corridor) are heavily traveled as bicycle commuting routes.
