BrainSilo is a non-profit hackerspace located in Portland, OR.  The space is open 24/7 to members and their guests, and the general public is welcome during scheduled events.

It is dedicated towards education, hacking, and maker culture. The stated mission is to sustain an environment where people can educate themselves and others in order to create and expand junctions of technology, art, science, and culture. To fulfil that mission, the focus is on:
* providing meeting and workshop space for any event that fits the mission
* providing a space that is available 24/7 to members to work on their projects.
 
 
The physical space is located 2119 N Kirby, Space C-2 near the east side of Broadway Bridge. The organization is run by the members collectively and a three member Board, with as little top down control as possible. BrainSilo is an Oregon Non-Profit Corporation, and was founded January 1st, 2010.
 
Regular open house meetings are every Thursday at 7:00 PM, and are open to anyone who wishes to visit.
