#pdxtech is an IRC channel on the Freenode IRC Network, targeted at the Tech Community in Portland, Oregon.
The channel started out as #pdxwebdev, founded in December 2008. The title 'web dev' was unattractive to potential new participants so a broader term was created. In August 2012, the name change to #pdxtech was suggested and adopted.
The channel averages 100 participants at any one time (July 2013).
