PortlandWiki is the city wiki for Portland, Oregon that you are invited to contribute to! A city wiki (or civic wiki) is a website about a town, city or region that is built and maintained by its community. PortlandWiki welcomes your contributions!

PortlandWiki aims to represent the "Voice of Portland" by providing a citizen-generated news and information resource, a knowledge "hub" and historical archive for Portland, Oregon and our surrounding region.

Places to go near Portland

Long Beach, Washington: Convenient Portland getaway and home to the "world's largest frying pan."

• Visit beautiful Timberline Lodge, a National Historic Landmark. The lodge was constructed in the late '30s as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project during the Great Depression.
• Ski at Mt. Hood.
• Explore the active volcano at Mt. St. Helens.
• Meander along the Pacific Coast, less than a two day power walk from Portland.
• During Cascadia's wet months, succumb to a weekend bender in Bend, where the sun do shine most o' the time.
• Spend the July 4th holiday in Long Beach, Washington, a pinnacle of patriotism and home to the World's Largest Frying Pan.
• Find your perfect Halloween pumpkin at the Pumpkin Patch!

• Walk through the South Park Blocks, which run through the Portland State University campus.
