| purpose = This Wednesday Portland [[City Council]] will vote on a resolution that will allow small scale overnight camping in vehicles. It's a great step, but we need more.

While the council is voting to allow car camping, [[BDS]] decided to to fine [[Right 2 Dream Too]] for violating the zoning code. Hundreds of houseless people have found safety and a place to rest at R2D2 since October 10, 2011 at no cost to the city. The fines could put [[R2D2]] out of existence.
