Exploring the depths of sanity, morality and murder… with puppets?!

Tears of Joy Puppet Theatre presents Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart,” February 10th and 11th at the Winningstad Theatre.

Adapted from Edgar Allan Poe’s infamous short horror story, this production blends live actors, mask and life-sized puppets.

Three hooded operators bring to life the Old Man, a wonderfully bony and decrepit looking life-sized puppet. The old man’s caretaker, played by a live actor, continuously affirms his sanity as he fixates on the old man’s eye, descending into madness and finally murder. Come join us as we tell the tale of a madman and see what lies at the bottom of his heart.
