Alberta Arts District is an area of Northeast Portland centered around Alberta street. Formerly the (or a) heart of Portland's Black community, the area is now perhaps the most clear example of Portland's particularly hipster brand of gentrification. It is today a mecca for hipsters, yuppies, new age types, artists, and tall bicyclists.

Not an actual neighborhood, Alberta Arts District is located in the Vernon, Concordia, and King neighborhoods.

Alberta Street's last remaining African-American-owned building was vandalized with racist graffiti in 2012, sparking an anti-racism march.[1]
