This public fountain is colloquially known as "The Car Wash"

Downtown is one of the neighborhoods of Southwest Portland and is the site of the original Portland township. Downtown's boundaries roughly correspond to Interstate 405 on the West and South, W Burnside Street on the North, and the Willamette River on the East. Today, Downtown is the city's financial district, as well as supporting a strong retail core. Portland State University is located in Downtown, as is the nearby Cultural District.
