Purpose

I think we need to draw attention to this issue of the so-called "demonic" chain reaction in which one nuclear accident causes additional ones due to the lethal levels of radiation that it pumps into the environment, making it impossible to control the operation at other facilities and leading to a cascade of meltdowns. Operating both the vit plant and the CGS simultaneously risks having both go critical if one has a catastrophic accident. This is not accounted for in risk assessments.

Other details
Chuck is a board member of the Columbia River Keeper and an incredible friend of Occupy Portland's Hanford Committee. He will talk about the Columbia Generating Station at Hanford and will touch on the nuke waste issue and the issues of the Columbia River as well.
