On a clear day you can see the majestic Mt. Hood - it is still stunning after many years of viewing it - for a born and raised flatlander.
Located 60 miles east of the city, it is about a 90 minute drive.
The famous OfficeMax Hood To Coast Relay starts there!
So is the infamous Timberline Lodge (because its exterior is the hotel from The Shining) - which is a WPA project
